In our production systems you will also see how carefully we consider the environment.
For example, our silkscreen department prints with water-based inks and has a waste-flake system allowing the scouring water to be discharged directly into the sewage being completely clean..

Van der Heijden Nederland only processes packaging materials that can be recycled or converted into other products. In the world of packaging the manufacturer is responsible for waste: the obligation for taking back the packaging, etc. As a result,
Van der Heijden Nederland processes part of the recycled EPS (polystyrene foam) in the production of building insulating elements. The other part goes to the central Dutch plant and is made into polystyrene granulated material. In this manner, the material is given a new lease of life as a technical product.

Polyether and polyester are converted into recycled foam (polypress), which is extremely suitable for sound insulation and for packaging of very heavy products.

Polyethylene foam is again processed to base material (granulated material) and can be re-used.

Polyurethane foam is recycled to a high-grade sheet material, which – for example – can be deployed as a base for parquet floors.

Neopolene is converted into drainage mattresses, etc.

With regard to the cardboard manufacturing, Van der Heijden Nederland has its own RESY number and is a member of the Dutch Paper Recycling Foundation.
