Van der Heijden Nederland has an impressive silkscreen department for packaging.
The advantage of silkscreen is that small series can be printed very quickly and that the cost of the tools is very low compared to using the flexo technique. Preparation of the film and the screen is done in-house (if needed, we can also take care of your artwork). The benefit obviously lies in the speed and the quality of the packaging.
The advantage of the low tool costs is also that you can quickly and cheaply apply a different imprint on you packaging, if so desired (e.g.,
for a once-only drive).

	Cardboard Manufacturing We use high-quality corrugated cardboard (kraft) – both in a single and a double flute – in the manufacturing of boxes and other packaging of corrugated cardboard. Processing of mini-flute (1.5 mm) up to 3-layer triple-wall carton (15 mm) for packaging does not constitute a single problem for Van der Heijden Nederland. The right quality can be deployed for the packaging of each and every product. Supply of small series of imprinted cases is also part of the possibilities. It is common practice to use the flexo printing technique in the corrugated cardboard & packaging industry. The relatively low cost of this printing technique in large series is a big advantage. However, small series become very expensive due to the cost of printing blocks. We also produce packaging of double-wall sheets. This synthetic material has a number of unique characteristics. It is extremely suitable for multiple use of packaging, which in some cases results in a quick recovery of costs. It is durable, insulating and hygienic, and resists chemicals, water and grease. This packaging material can also be silk-screened beautifully. Black, carbonaceous double-wall sheets are also available, particularly suitable for ESD-proof packaging, whether or not in combination with antistatic or ESD-proof foam.	pallet box with carton interior
