Develoment and testing

Since Van der Heijden Nederland isn’t restricted to using one type of material when developing a packaging solution, it is possible to choose the most optimal and appropriate material specific to the packaging of the product. This makes for endless possibilities as there isn’t a one-sided approach using a single type of material (e.g., corrugated cardboard), we can also use a combination of packaging materials, if required. All of the materials required for the production of the packaging are processed on location. We have a number of packaging developers employed fulltime in our packaging development department, each with his/her own speciality in the packaging field. They have many years of experience and an extensive knowledge of raw materials, glues, tapes, etc.

If required, hand models are manufactured to allow practical testing of the packaging. Plotter models can be made quickly, too. Our packaging development department also makes the technical drawings and makes these available (in electronic format, if needed). We also take care of designing box layouts, because not every business has its own department for this purpose. Due to a well-equipped design studio we are able to meet all your requests.

Experienced specialists advise about the most appropriate packaging materials and take care of a packaging design suitable for the product. It goes without saying that we pay close attention to the optical styling of the packaging concerned.
